So be ‘bear-aware’ when out in the forest or walking in the neighborhood and please be mindful of the fact that we are in their neighborhood too and garbage cans, food left outdoors and even bird feeders and barbecues can be enticing to these furry friends. If you happen to see one, don’t engage, keep your distance and follow these tips from the US Forest Service.
