With spring comes blooming May flowers, and warmer temps – it’s also the time of year that slumbering black bears wake up from their winter naps, hungry! The White Mountain Independent has a very timely informative article this week that you can read here.

So be ‘bear-aware’ when out in the forest or walking in the neighborhood and please be mindful of the fact that we are in their neighborhood too and garbage cans, food left outdoors and even bird feeders and barbecues can be enticing to these furry friends. And keep your pic-in-ik baskets safe!
